ANNOTATION

This program is designed for psychologists, school counselors, teachers, school principals, and specialists working in the field of education and child development, as well as for anyone enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in psychology and pedagogy, who wish to enhance their knowledge, competencies, and experience in the areas of child development, academic achievement, well-being, and mental health.


Program Goal: To provide the development of professional skills in the field of psychodiagnostics and assessment of child and adolescent development, creating programs to overcome learning difficulties and improve academic success, conducting specialized trainings and workshops to enhance competencies and strengths of children and adolescents, addressing aggression and bullying in school, as well as fostering parental competence. The program offers opportunities to develop skills in child crisis counseling, implementing psychological interventions for improving social relationships, building strengths and motivation, and supporting the development and well-being of children with special needs.

The program enables the development of specialized knowledge and skills in the areas of:

  • mental development in childhood and adolescence;
  • developmental psychopathology in childhood and adolescence;
  • learning activities, motivation for learning, assessment of learning outcomes, and creativity;
  • strengths, assessment of strengths, and activities for their development;
  • self-regulation and behavior in childhood and adolescence;
  • social competence and self-esteem in childhood and adolescence;
  • parental competence and the skills to conduct trainings for parents aimed at developing parental competence;
  • interventions for promoting well-being in childhood and adolescence;
  • child aggression and work on preventing aggression and bullying in school;
  • stress and crises in adolescence, and skills for counseling and coping with stress in school;
  • working with children with special needs in school.

Graduation requirements:
The specialization concludes with a state examination.

Professional qualification:
Graduates of the one-year specialization receive a professional qualification certificate in Positive Education.

The specialization starts once a group of 15 participants is formed.
